DESCRIPTION  

The shopping mall is a big structures with about 47’000 mq of commercial area and three level building : partial underground level for car parking and general services, ground level for shopping mall, first level for exposition and other general services.  The structures is in pre-cast concrete columns , beams and decks, with in situ reinforced concrete foundations, staircases and lifts internals walls, underground safety escape hatchs, fire water underground basins  and logistics components. Outside escape staircases are in iron frame structures.

As community facilities were building, with the same project team, a Civic Center, two underground pedestrian and bycicling subway and a ecological platform.

Description:

This multifunction building is located in the north suburbs of Parma.

The building, with 5 floor and one underground level, is divided in two parts with separated staircase blocks. The East block is an Hotel 3* with 50 rooms, the West block is an office building with 16 units.

At the Ground floor there are business and commercial spaces, and at the underground there are car parkings, warehouses and cellars.

The bulding, that is fully coated with red brick walls, has an articulated plan due to the presence on three sides of the plot of two streets and a 10 Kvolt power line, all elements that contributed to generate a multisided shape building.

DESCRIPTION

In this area there was a big transportation company ( SAI ) that left the place in the 1998/1999. So the client made a general plan for the area recycling  in residential buildings.

The construction fills the entire area of 4’200 mq with three underground levels and eight level maximum in elevation. The underground levels (the last is into the groundwater aquifer layer) are for car parking (private look-up garage level -3 and -2, public car parking level -1), the ground level is a commercial plaza with some stores. The other levels are for offices and residential units (up to 77 units) in four adjacent building with different   height. On the top level of all building are provided for swimming pool basins.   The volume is: 43’000 mc underground and 51’200 mc in elevation levels.

The structure is basically made with in situ reinforced concrete :  foundation slab, pillars, beams and pre-cast floors . On the roofing the are iron framework structure for plants. In the ground level plaza there is a pedestrian  footbridge made in iron structure.

As community facilities were building, with the same project team, a Civic Center, two underground pedestrian and bycicling subway and a ecological platform.

DESCRIPTION  

In an open area the client built a logistics complex made with pre-cast warehouses until three level elevation.

The logistics area sum 24’700 mq covered with one level pre-cast building (except for the East front with two and three level) and the headquarter office is a three level pre-cast building of 2’200 mq and 26’400 mc. There are also same little constructions for truck reception, truck mechanic’s workshop, fork lift recovery, power unit central. On the top level of the three store buildings there are a photovoltaic  plants with technical rooms.

The in situ structural components are basically pile foundations for more than 800 pillars, foundations for staircase walls, basements for photovoltaic and technical rooms plants on the roofing, a big fire underground water basin.

DESCRIPTION  

In Somma Lombardo (VA) there was an exiting shopping mall (a big supermarket IL GIGANTE e some few store with food facilities) with a big open air plaza inside.

The client decided to cover the open plaza with a roof and to create a new shopping mall with 25 stores inside. New covered area about 1’500 mq.

The new iron framework steel is supported by the exiting pre-cast and steel pillars with a 24m span for principal framework beam and 12m span for secondary beams. On the outside front were built two new escape stairway made with steel structure.

The construction was difficult for the exiting commercial activity (always open) and for the assembly of the structure with many restriction for the exiting buildings.

DESCRIPTION

The contemporary restoration has horizons of development very interesting, both as regards to the preparation of food both the organization of the spaces delegates at the banquet. As far as the preparation of the food is concerned, one of the richest in unpredictability addresses (so that particularly interests us) is that related to the school that involves the use of self-produced biological foods. Famous french and Italian chefs are moving in this direction for some years and some of them have moved out of the city just to carry out these strategies (one for all: elBulli by Ferran Adria Acosta, one of the best restaurant in the world situated in a small town of Catalonia to 170 km. Barcelona just to have the chance to control the production of all raw ingredients used).

In addition, the locations of the restoration are increasingly designed as meeting places where you can relax, read the selection of newspapers, a book or, why not, passionate about a remarkable variety of tomatoes, dahlias, sweet peas, begonias, olives and pear selected, and still to talk about business, but in a atmosphere very different from that of the traditional restaurants, because envolved with the new technologies of information and relationship.

The property contacted UGSprogetti in order to bring back to life  a misused garden that surrounds their villa in the city. The garden, now too rigid in its “fullness” and redundancy, has been the subject of a substantial restyling, based on the idea to create an over-all  new room in the house, only that it will be (in the open) outside We have divided the garden into four main areas: front, right side, playground and common-garden. Each area has its own story to tell …The trunks, the colors, the texture of leaves, blooms and volumes of the ” hedges of light” skilfully illuminated during hours of darkness, together with the furniture elements, will be the protagonists of this scene that overturns the frontal perspective inwards eclipsing the front view of the building.

We were invited by the owners to “look”to understand if there were the conditions of an improvement action on the operating current, the legacy of a restructuring a bit ‘messy built about thirty years ago, and as a result of which, the sense of “prestigious guest house originally had been pulverized in an incongruent breakdown of mini and medium-sized apartments, which is hard to understand its meaning The building was floating along with the other of the complex, in a        spectacular lake of colors in dynamic evolution, they did think of an abstract composition by Mark Rothko, and as such, incredibly able to avoid the chaos emotional distress, working with unparalleled balance tones and midtones of colors never pure.The suggestions were then induced change from a “super-director, ” that of sunlight, which with the known ability, gave everything a dazzling sense of alienation, that all who come to the mountain to know.

Description:  The complex consists of three buildings of seven floors used as executive offices and operational and two underground floors with technical rooms and garage.Each building has its own entrance with its reception. The first floor, through two tunnels connecting the buildings inside, and there are  meeting rooms of various sizes, classrooms for training courses, relaxation areas and a bar corners. All floors are composed of a large open space, with work islands for 4-6 desks, executive offices located at the ends, central block for toilets and refreshment area. The architectural solutions adopted, such as glass dividing walls, modular floating floor and ceiling allow for maximum flexibility of space, according to the modern logic of teamwork.

Description:  In a building of 1930 constituded by two floors, was created a medical center, consisting of a private health clinic and a dental clinic with surgical room. The challenge has been to enter the maximum system technology, necessary for the dental office, in a building that had architectural constraints and limitations. The implants were inserted in part to the basement and partly in coverage, and thanks to modular ceilings and floating floor were distributed within the environment. You have created an elevator shaft, to allow all patients to reach the clinics on the first floor. Finishing materials have been used for specific environments where high standards of hygiene are required, such as antibacterial tile floors, walls, furniture, glass, enamel paintings, metal ceilings.

DESCRIPTION

This great project owes its birth to a prestigious victory in an international competition organized by the Municipality of Ravenna and ARPA Emilia- Romagna, which had as its object the drawing , in fact, of their new offices headquarters in Ravenna. The race was won in a consortium with Politecnica Ingegneria Architecture Scarl and the prestigious firm of Stuttgart Benhisch & partners . The winning idea was to consider building an integral part of a landscape harmonizing together the park , the new ARPA headquarters , the new headquarters of the Municipality of Ravenna and the related services . Under this philosophy we have, first of all, developed a park – garden with walking trails and paths, small canals and fountains, rows of trees and patterned surfaces covered by various types of plant essences. Then we gave shape the two new buildings, which, so conceived, seem to grow with the landscape, turning around the major elements of its development. This way, the settlement will be set-up as a “campus” ; In particular, for the council offices we developed a system of spatial relationship with the public user of great simplicity and transparency , in line with the new institutional intentions , creating areas suspended between one service area and the other, connected through suggestive bridges.

For the ARPA headquarters we studied a completely sustainable building, from an energy point of view, in which, among other choices, the park is brought inside through the creation of a large greenery atrium, the true focus of the vital complex.

Electric installations have been tested, such as power feeding lines, normal and emergency lighting, UPS, electric earthing network, special plants as fire detection, intrusion alarm, CCTV, serving the underground multilevel cars parking, multi-hall cinema, rooms for residential purpose, rooms for commercial use at the ground and in the first floors.

Water feeding, sanitary equipment and drainage pipe testing, sprinkler and air conditioning systems testing, located in same areas as mentioned above.

Review of the documentation provided by the Suppliers, like as-built drawings, maintenance & service handbooks of supplied systems, both electrical and mechanical.

Interfacing activities run with various governmental Agencies to certify installed facilities, as AUSL (Healthcare Public Authority), Fire Department, etc.

The project is located in the central area of the leading zone of Shanghai Lingang new city , outside the downtown of Lingang new city, north to the Sansan Road, south to the Zhoude Road, east to the Boying Road, west to the Zetong Road. As 94 pond goes through, it is divided into two separated area. The west part is 20 meters wide while the east part is irregularly curved. It is planned to be a public park, 53037㎡ in total.
